The EU-poll asking about favouring summer- or wintertime has been held during the summer. Many people acted on the situation valid for that time of year and so they voted pro summertime. I think that when the same poll would have been held during wintertime, the vast majority would have favoured wintertime. Which ofcourse is the most 'natural' time for humans and animals.
