Petition is addressed to: Genimmo Services

We are petitioning for a reduction on this month's (July 2025) rent given that the contractual obligations have not been met. Since the residents of the Galileo building in Belvas (31 Pte de France) have not had access to warm water at least since week 28 (7-11 Jul), we believe we are entitled to the reduction in utilities we pay every month.

Reason

We want to send a unified request to Genimmo, the Agency in charge of renting out the building, that the residents of the building believe we have the right to compensation for the lack of access to warm water.

Thank you for your support, Hana Marcetic, Esch sur Alzette

Why people sign

No hot water for taking shower at least 3 weeks already, and the agency is lazy to help us!

To get information and I want to join to tell my complaints. I also want to discuss how the management system can function better

Because I don’t have hot water since 4 weeks! Taking freezing shower was not a part of my accommodation contract.

This is an honestly crazy situation. The most baffling thing is how bad the overall administration is for the rent price they charge. They are charging students sometimes almost 1200€, and then don't even bother with basic services.

I was not personally affected by the lack of hot water. Still, my apartment was flooded because the management refuses to clean the pipes and instead prefers to save money and only call the plumbers for emergencies. This led to us calling the emergency number on Saturday evening because we lost power who pretty much told us (6 apartments lost power) "What do you want me to do? It's Saturday. Someone will come Monday". We lost power because water got into a microwave, which caused the power grid of 6 apartments to go down. I asked several times about a replacement microwave, and nobody seems to care. Thankfully, I am leaving because if I were waiting for a fix... well...

The plumbers also told us the administration refuses to do an overall cleaning of the pipes (which they have been warned they should do) and instead prefers to save money by calling them in emergency situations (when an apartment floods, which is a common occurrence here, sadly). One of them even told me that he personally has already been called here 7 times.

It's sad how this hot water situation doesn't surprise me in the slightest...To anyone considering renting here, be warned: They go for the bare minimum, and you'd better hope you have no issues, because if you do, the likelihood of you getting help is near 0.

I hope they at least have the decency to reduce the rent of the people affected by a decent amount, because not only is this illegal, it is inhumane and shows the lack of care they have for the people who spend so much money here already.

I can see this as lack of responsibility by the residence. Considering the current weather condition, they should solved this problem earlier. I felt that it’s completely an irresponsible behaviour.
