I understand that participating in Eurovision represents a significant item in Česká televize's budget, but is withdrawing really the right solution? A great musician doesn't need a multi-million-dollar staging—all it takes is authentic singing with heart, pride, and dedication, exactly as Salvador Sobral showed the world in 2017.
Eurovision is a matter of national cultural representation, just like any major international event, especially in a time when music connects people more than ever. It is literally the largest live music contest in the world. It’s not just about winning; it’s about taking part and presenting our country’s talent to tens of millions of viewers worldwide. Over the years, Czechia has delivered performances we could genuinely be proud of.
As patriots, dedicated Eurovision fans, and passionate music listeners, the thought of Czechia stepping away from the contest genuinely breaks our hearts.

I love Eurovision so much! I love seeing every country represented and sharing their music and culture. It’s really sad that Czechia won’t be there next year. Eurovision is about bringing countries together and celebrating music, culture and diversity. I hope Czechia will return soon!
