KickAssTorrents, also known as KAT, is a website that hosts torrent files and magnet links. KickassTorrents first appeared online in 2008 and overtook The Pirate Bay as the world's top torrent website in 2014 before being shut down by the US government in 2016 with all of its proxy servers. Torrent proxy sites allow you to circumvent ISP torrent restrictions and download torrents anonymously. As new proxy sites become available, the list is constantly updated.
